 Import and export operations between Azerbaijan and Moldova have increased (21.11.2018)

The volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Moldova has exceeded $ 4 million 797 thousand in 10 months of the current

 year. This is more than half a million dollars in comparison with the same period last year.National Statistical Bureau of the Republic which uses a set of rules  of Moldova informed AZERTAC about it.

According to the report, Azerbaijan imported goods worth 4 million 395 thousand 23 dollars in Moldova during the reporting period.

 From Azerbaijan to Moldova, products worth around $ 402,557 were exported.     

In the Customs Committee was discussed the establishment of GUAM digital commerce

The discussion was held on November 23 at the 29th meeting of the Steering Committee on GUAM Trade and Transport Assistance Project at the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, Major General Iqbal Babayev, Head of the Department for International Cooperation Dilavar Farzaliyev, Deputy Head of Revenue Service of the Georgian Ministry of Finance Vakhtang Lashkaradze, Head of the Ukrainian Customs Service Foreign Relations Department Oleg Semyenenko, Moldovan Customs Service External Relations Head of the Department Dmitry Volovey and coordinator of programs of GUAM Secretariat Sabuhi Tamirov.

Moldova Business Week 2018

On 27-29 November in Moldova was held 5th edition of the “Moldova Business Week” conference-an annual platform for information and best practices ecchange. It will serve as ground for the country^s economic development policies implementation andpresent the global trends to which the Republic of Moldova is aligning. “Moldova Business Week” is one of the most important events for promoting the iage of the country at international level, intensifying and imroving the dialoguebetween the public and private sector, increasing the competitiveness of the local companies, promoting export and foreign investments. “Moldova Business Week 2018” V edition will strengthen the efforts of the Government of Moldova to support business and develop an attractive investment climate for the national and international business community. The Agenda of the Conference includes the presentation of sectoral policies and progress, complemented by interactive communication tools: bilateral forums, study visits, networking sessions, retail/distribution workshops, exhbitions. For the first time, the tourism sector will be on the agenda, rising to global trends in country branding.

In 2018 under the aegis of the Unthe Republic of Moldova became the “World Capital of Wine Tourism” and host of the 3rd edition of the Global Conference of Wine Tourism, a success which remarkably strengthened Moldova^s position on the global touristic map.

Import and export operations between Azerbaijan and Moldova have approached $ 6 million

The volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Moldova in the 11 months of the current year exceeded 5 million 442 thousand dollars. According to the report, the cost of Azerbaijan's imports from Moldova was more than 4 million 999 thousand 45 dollars. From Azerbaijan to Moldova 443 thousand 31 dollars worth of products were exported.

A technical seminar on "Energy Efficiency Indicators Development in the Household Sector" was held on 28-29 November in the city of Kishinev, Moldova with the support of the International Energy Agency. Representatives of the International Energy Agency, the Croatian Energy Institute, as well as the energy and statistical agencies of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Armenia were attended at the event. The event was opened by the Director General of the National Bureau of Statistics of Moldova Vitalie Valkov.

Azerbaijan, Moldova trade almost reached $1m in 2019 Q1

The bilateral trade between Azerbaijan and Moldova made almost 1 million US dollars in the first three months of 2019, according to the National Statistics Bureau of Moldova.Official figures suggest that Azerbaijan imported goods worth 835.1 million US dollars from Moldova in the first quarter of this year, while Moldovan imports to Azerbaijan made 95.6 million US dollars.In 2018, trade between the two countries made nearly 7 million US dollars.

The volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Moldova was about $ 1.3 million in January-April of the current year.Azerbaijan imported products worth $ 1.2 million from Moldova during the reporting period. From Azerbaijan to Moldova, products worth $ 115.6 thousand were shipped.

In the six months of the current year, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Moldova exceeded $ 2.2 million. The National Statistical Bureau of Moldova told AZERTAC.The cost of Azerbaijan's imports from Moldova was about $ 2 million during the reporting period. 253 thousand dollars was exported from Azerbaijan to Moldova.
