Azerbaijanis living in Moldova have expressed their support for the Azerbaijani state in relation to Armenia's large-scale provocation
On September 15, 2022, Azerbaijanis living in Moldova gathered in the square of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Moldova to express their support for the Azerbaijani state in regard to Armenia's large-scale provocation and to honor the memory of the fallen martyrs.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy of the ruling party «Action and Solidarity Party» in the Moldovan Parliament, the Chairman of the Moldova-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group Vitalie Jacot, Azerbaijanis living in Moldova, residents of the region, representatives of various communities and young people.
First, the participants honoured the memory of the Azeri martyrs with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the memorial corner in front of the embassy.
Deputy Vitalie Jacot gave a speech and expressed his condolences to the families of the martyrs. He expressed the hope that this confrontation, which caused so many human casualties, would not be repeated. During the meeting, Ambassador Gudsi Osmanov asked for the first time for God's mercy for the heroes, martyrs killed as a result of the Armenian military provocation. The Ambassador said that Azerbaijan, as a country that has always supported peace in the region, has taken the initiative to normalize relations with Armenia on the basis of mutual respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of neighboring countries.
He said that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the successor to the successful policy of the founder of modern Azerbaijan, the great leader Heydar Aliyev, large-scale reconstruction projects aimed at stability and development are being implemented in the region. In this regard, he drew the attention of the meeting participants to the fact that it is not in Azerbaijan's interest to have incidents on its territories. Noting that Armenia is trying to derail peace talks and expand the geography of tensions by resorting to continuous military provocations, the Ambassador recalled the iron fist and welcomed the close unity of Azerbaijani compatriots around the President and the Azerbaijani people.
Elchin Bayramov, President of the Azerbaijani Congress of Moldova (ACM), who addressed the meeting, said that, as always, Azerbaijanis in Moldova are on the side of their homeland, Azerbaijan and its soldiers, who have responded to the enemy in a dignified way and unreservedly support President Ilham Aliyev's visionary policy aimed at achieving peace.
The President of ACM pointed out that yesterday CAM prepared an appeal on the Armenian military provocation and sent it to the offices of international and regional organisations based in Chișinău.
Also during the meeting, Azerbaijani activists living in Moldova, Maarif Rahimov, Yasin Seyidov and others gave patriotic speeches and informed the young people present at the meeting about the correct position of our country.
