The 102nd anniversary of the National Leader was celebrated in Chisinau

The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Moldova hosted a commemorative event on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

The commemorative event was attended by the members of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to the Republic of Moldova, political and public personalities, as well as representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora in the country.

The participants of the event attended the ceremony of laying flowers at the bust of the National Leader, Heydar Aliyev, located in the "Victory Square" near the Embassy.

In his speech, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Ulvi Bakhshaliyev spoke about the life and political activities of the remarkable statesman, as well as about his role in the formation and development of modern Azerbaijan. The Ambassador noted that the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev is the architect of relations between Azerbaijan and Moldova.

"The strong Azerbaijan that the Great Leader entrusted to us is becoming even stronger today, thanks to the successful and visionary policy of his worthy successor, President Ilham Aliyev, becoming a major player on the international scene. Azerbaijan, which has fully restored its territorial integrity under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev - a worthy successor of the Great Leader's ideas, is developing rapidly", the Ambassador stressed.

In his speech, Co-Chairmain of the Parliamentary Friendship Group Moldova-Azerbaijan, Vitalie Jacot emphasized that "Heydar Aliyev's life and politics is a shining example of how a great statesman with a visionary policy can change an entire nation. Thanks to his decisive actions and wise decisions, Azerbaijan has become a prosperous and important state in the world arena."

In his speech, the Chairman of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Moldova, Elchin Bayramov, said that Heydar Aliyev is the symbol of national unity.

"The anniversay of Heydar Aliyev is an important date for the Azerbaijani people. Every year, in many countries of the world, the Azerbaijani diaspora commemorates the memory of the Great Leader and great statesman with special respect and gratitude for his contribution to the development of our country", the Chairman of the Congress concluded.

During the commemorative event, a photo exhibition dedicated to the life and work of Heydar Aliyev was organized.
