2019 Formula 1 Gran-Prix of Azerbaijan

Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the simplification of visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons who will arrive in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the organization and holding of competitions of the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan Formula 1 2019

Guided by paragraph 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I decree:

1. To establish that foreigners and stateless persons who arrived in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the forthcoming Formula 1 2019 Grand Prix competitions in the Republic of Azerbaijan and submitted one of the documents specified in Part 2 of this Order, from March 15 to May 15, 2019 can get a visa at the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
2. Consider the basis for the issuance of a visa one of the following documents:

• accreditation card confirming the accreditation in accordance with the relevant rules of Formula One Management Limited and the International Automobile Federation, which are the international organizers of Formula 1 competitions;
• accreditation card confirming the passage of accreditation in the Baku City Ring Operating Company;
• a ticket to the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan Formula 1 2019 or a document confirming the purchase of a ticket.

1. To the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan:

3.1. notify Formula One Management Limited, the International Automobile Federation and the relevant authorities of foreign countries about the simplification of visa procedures for persons who arrive in the Republic of Azerbaijan due to the Formula 1 2019 Azerbaijan Grand Prix competitions, as well as the possibility of obtaining an electronic visa for foreigners and stateless persons through the “ASAN Viza” system according to the list of countries approved under paragraph 4.2 of the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Azerbaijan of June 1, 2016 number 923;

3.2. to ensure the posting of information on the simplification of visa procedures for persons who arrive in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the Formula 1 2019 Grand Prix of Azerbaijan and the possibility for foreigners and stateless persons to receive an electronic visa through the ASAN Viza system on the Ministry’s Internet information resources, as well as embassies and consulates of the Republic of Azerbaijan in foreign countries.

4. The State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall notify the aviation companies flying to the Republic of Azerbaijan of the simplification of visa procedures for persons who arrive in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the Formula 1 2019 Grand Prix of Azerbaijan.
